Governor Dave Heineman has proclaimed the month of October as Nebraska State College System (NSCS) Month and encouraged students and their parents to visit Chadron State, Peru State or Wayne State College.
Presenting the proclamation, Lieutenant Governor Rick Sheehy said, It is important for high school graduates to continue their education. Students today need more than a high school diploma and the State Colleges provide a wide-range of degree options.
Chadron, Peru and Wayne State Colleges focus on providing access to students seeking a high quality and affordable educational experience, NSCS Chancellor Stan Carpenter said. Faculty and staff are committed to engaging students in a personal college experience that helps them achieve their goals and aspirations.
NSCS Board of Trustees Vice-Chair Michelle Suarez recognizes the importance of students choosing the right college.
We invite and urge our prospective students to visit one or more of the three Nebraska State Colleges. Suarez said. You will find beautiful campuses with outstanding faculty and state of the art facilities. The Nebraska State Colleges provide an engaging, quality education at an incredible value. In the NSCS, we put students first.
