Wayne State College to Host Festival of Honor Bands

WAYNE, Neb. (Jan. 15, 2010) -- The Wayne State Festival of Honor Bands will be hosted Jan. 30 in the college’s Peterson Fine Arts building. 

This day-long event features students from Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota. The 350 students were selected by audition from more than 75 schools and represent the finest musicians in this area. The festival culminates in a concert at 4:30 p.m. in Ramsey Auditorium.

The concert will feature all the students under the direction of Joann Couton from the Bishop Neumann Schools, Kevin Massey from Sioux City North High School and Joshua Calkin from the Wayne State College fine arts faculty.
