WSC Leadership Seminar Features Adventure-inspired Training
WAYNE, Neb. (Jan. 18, 2010) -- Wayne State Student Senate and Circle K will present “Dare to Lead, Dare to Succeed,” a leadership seminar, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, in the Niobrara Room of the Student Center.
Jay Zarr will be the keynote speaker at the conference. The skills and wisdom he has gained in more than 30 years in adventure-based training make him a natural choice for leading and teaching people of all ages. He has journeyed thousands of waterways, mountains and deserts with groups of all sizes. Zarr has the unique ability to master and harness the power of those experiences and bring it all indoors. He takes the lessons learned and connects them back to everyday life.
The free seminar is designed for all students to attend, especially leaders from student organizations, Resident Assistants, and anyone who has a desire to learn about their leadership development.
Information about enrolling may be obtained at the Student Activities Office in the lower level of the Student Center or by contacting TeresaTiedtke, assistant Student Center manager and Student Activity Board advisor, at (402) 375-7322 or tetiedt1@wsc.edu.
