Susan Heggestad to Show Work at Wayne State College

WAYNE, Neb. (Oct. 5, 2009) - Artist Susan Heggestad will be showing her work at Wayne State College in the Nordstrand Visual Arts Gallery, Oct. 12 through 30. There will be an opening and reception from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Oct. 12.

Heggestad also has print work on display until Nov. 29 at the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science Visual Arts Center, 301 S. Main Avenue, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Heggestad is a non-traditional printmaker who has no interest in creating multiples, which is the typical definition of the medium. She is drawn to printmaking instead, because of the endless potential for variations on a theme. Her mixed-media prints are one-of-a-kind works that begin with a limited number of collagraphic plates.

The exhibit at Wayne State College will be available for viewing at the Nordstrand Visual Arts Gallery from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays while classes are in session.  All exhibitions end at noon on the closing date.
