Faculty Forum on Omaha and Ponca Digital Dictionary Project

WAYNE, Neb. (Sept. 21, 2009) - Dr. Catherine Rudin will present "Documenting an Endangered Language:  The Omaha and Ponca Digital Dictionary Project" at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 23 in Humanities Rm. 319.

This is a progress report, one year into a three-year WSC/UNL joint project to create an online dictionary of the Omaha and Ponca language.  The presentation will include background on the language, an overview of the dictionary project, an update on accomplishments and setbacks to date, and a demonstration of the emerging dictionary Web site and database.
