Wind Ensemble
Performances by the WSC Wind Ensemble have been featured at the Nebraska and Iowa Music Educators' Conventions, and the WSC Concert Choir has appeared on the Emmy-nominated Nebraska Public Television special, Holiday Harmonies, as well as in performances with the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra.
Madrigal Singers
As the most select vocal ensemble at WSC, the Madrigal Singers continue a 35-year tradition of presenting annual Elizabethan Christmasse Feastes on campus and throughout the region. This group has also performed for the Niobrara Center and K-MEG Television Christmas specials, and recently performed at a major opening at the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha.
For more than 50 years the Wayne State College Black and Gold performing arts series has presented cultural programming to serve the northeast Nebraska region. The 2008-09 series will continue Feb. 18 with New York City’s Aquila Theatre performing Shakespeare’s “The Comedy of Errors.”
