Wayne State College Keyboard Ensemble Concert Rescheduled

The Wayne State College Keyboard Ensemble will perform at 5 p.m. Dec. 14 in Ramsey Theater, in the Peterson Fine Arts Building. There is no admission charge. The concert was originally scheduled for Dec. 8 but was postponed due to bad weather.

The keyboard ensemble, directed by Dr. Linda Christensen, is a group of students that perform music written for four to 12 keyboards using various sounds ranging from strings, woodwinds, brass or percussion to non-traditional synthesized sounds.

The concert will feature music written by American composers, including "By the Light of the Silvery Moon" and "Alexander's Ragtime Band," as well as holiday favorites and a piece written to emulate sounds from the Amazon rainforest. Please note this date is different than the previous listing on the fine arts event listing.
