Fred G. Dale Planetarium Show Surveys Spring and Summer Skies
[updated 4-11-2008]
WAYNE, Neb. – "Surveying Spring and Summer Skies" at Wayne State College’s Fred G. Dale Planetarium will continue until April 27. The show provides an intimate look at the evening skies of spring dominated by the bright planets Mercury, Saturn and Jupiter, as well as numerous interesting star clusters and nebulae. As spring changes to summer, the star clouds of the distant galactic core swing into view with meteor showers adding to the sky drama.
All shows will be at 3:30 p.m. Sundays in the Fred G. Dale Planetarium, located at the southwest entrance of the Carhart Science Building on the WSC campus. Special showings can be arranged for school groups and other organizations by contacting the Math-Science Dept. at 375-7343. |
