Virus Protection

Network and Technology Services provides a multilayered defense against virus threats through the use of firewalls, operating system updates, and signature based scanners. All e-mail that is sent to Wayne State’s e-mail systems is scanned before it is delivered to the recipient. Antivirus and Antispyware software is provided for all computers in student computing labs, classrooms, as well as faculty, staff and administrative offices. Students are responsible for providing current anti-virus software for their personal computers on and off campus.
