As you may have noticed, we had a network outage from roughly 3:40PM to
3:58PM this afternoon. Our service provider did some quick troubleshooting and
ascertained that the device that connects their network to ours was not handling
an error condition properly.
They are looking into long term solutions to
prevent the device from reacting that way.
For now, we have do have a way to
address the issue should it happen again. It is something which requires a
staff member to be physically present in the data center to accomplish, but
we'll keep a close eye on the situation and react as quickly as we are able.
hope to have a long term solution in place in the next few days.
