In the next few weeks we will be upgrading the Groupwise mail system on campus.  This upgrade will provide the campus with a number of positive changes in the e-mail system, including a much improved web interface.  The upgrade will occur in two phases:

 

Monday evening of next week between 5:30 and 9:30 PM we will upgrade the Groupwise server.  This will mean that e-mail will be unavailable during this timeframe.  Incoming mail will be saved and delivered as soon as the system is returned to service.  This change will upgrade the web interface to the e-mail system.  If you have a browser bookmark or favorite that takes you directly to the Groupwise system that will become invalid after the ugprade.  Access through the e-campus system will be updated to take you automatically into the new Groupwise interface in the same way that it does currently.

 

Over the next few weeks we will be upgrading the Groupwise desktop client on campus.  This should be a relatively gradual process to allow for people to attend training sessions offered through the TRC.  The following demonstration sessions are currently scheduled (in the TRC office in the basement of the library) for the new desktop client:
