Greetings,
Recently we have seen a large increase in the amount of junk e-mails that we receive. The worst of these, from a potential virus situation, is the notice you get that you have a greeting card from a friend or family. You are encouraged to open it. In my testing I have found the card to have a virus that was easily detected by our system. These cards have become very irritating for me and I suspect for others. We will be working on some kind of filter or block to shield all of us from these e-mails. We also have been getting a number of .pdf files that suggest they are stock notices. They are not dangerous as they appear not to have any viruses attached. They are just irritating for most of us. And we also seem to be getting a number of very blatant junk e-mails. Again, we will be working on a way to slow down or stop all of these. Unfortunately the person that handles this part of the mail system is on vacation for a few more days. I can assure you we will do what we can as soon as he is back.
Sincerely,
Dennis Linster
