There is hardly a week goes by that my office does not field a question about a pending "virus" or some "hoax" regarding some kind of computer technology. Most of the rumors are hoaxes and that kind of information is readily available. It has become clear to me that the simplest and most expedient way to handle this kind of request from now on is to provide a more immediate response capability for the end users. To that end you will be able to access a Virus and Hoax Information webpage on the NATS (Network and Technology Services) website. In the Top Links section in the lower center of the page you will find the link. When the URL is accessed you will find several websites that can be immediately accessed and can provide information about the virus in question. The URL for the website is: http://www.wsc.edu/it/
These sources are very valid and should provide a very usable resource whether you are at work or home.
