Sakai issues resolved

We just resolved an issue in the Sakai system (online.wsc.edu) in which student accounts were disabled and no longer showed up in class rosters.

As many of you know, classes are being handled a bit differently this summer. We've gone from three summer terms to one summer term with multiple sessions. As a result, we need to change the way classes are named on the G: drive and in other campus systems as well.

The data copy from our original storage unit to the new storage unit finished up about 8:30AM and we were able to take down all of the servers and start working on the original storage unit.

On Wednesday afternoon of this week we received a phone call from HP indicating that it was seeing some troublesome error messages being reported on our primary storage unit that holds software and data for a great number of servers on campus.
