Is a WebCT online course right for you?

Not everyone is successful at online learning. The student who tends to succeed is a self-disciplined learner with reasonable computer skills. The student owns a fairly new computer with a reliable Internet connection, or is able to come to campus and use WSC equipment.

Those who tend to fail are looking for an easy class that requires minimal effort on their part. They tend to procrastinate. They plan to use a friend's computer, a computer at work, or a computer in a public place. They have weak computer skills and are easily frustrated by tasks such as copy-and-paste and attaching files to email messages.
