Study Abroad Opportunities at Wayne State College
Studying abroad is defined as the act of a student pursuing educational opportunities in a foreign country. There are a variety of reasons students may choose to study abroad. It is an opportunity for them to immerse themselves in a foreign culture and have experiences unattainable in their own country. Study abroad is also a form of diplomacy, whereby students from different countries are able to interact, overcome, and appreciate cultural differences and build relationships with people outside their native country. This is foreign relations on a personalized level and contributes to the current trend of globalization.
International educational opportunities at Wayne State College include the opportunity to take part in a study abroad experience. Study abroad can be one of the most exciting parts of any academic program, especially for those majoring in Modern Languages (Spanish, German, French, etc.). However, no matter what your interest or major, you will benefit from an international study abroad experience.
