Athletic Academic Program

The AAP, co-sponsored with the Athletic Department and the HASC, is designed to help the at-risk student athlete. Graduate students and peer tutors work as mentors with the athletes several times per week with the following purposes:

1. to increase the probability of a student’s success in
   passing an academic subject,
2. to increase the student’s self confidence and motivation,
3. to develop study skills,
4. to individualize the learning-teaching process for the student, and
5. to supplement instructional resources.
