What are Scholarships?
Scholarships like grants are funds that do not require repayment. Wayne State College offers a wide array of scholarships to graduating high school seniors and current and transfer students.
Helpful Hints
- Apply for admission by the priority application deadline, December 1, 2008.
- Read and follow scholarship application instructions and submit your completed application(s) by the deadline.
- Take the ACT or SAT no later than the October 2008 testing date. These are the last scores we will receive prior to making scholarship decisions.
- We recommend you gather all documents required for the scholarship application and submit them together in an envelope. This will avoid processing delays and help you feel confident that your application is complete.
- At the top of each page of your scholarship application, include your name and home phone number.
- When you ask someone to write a letter of recommendation, explain the details of the scholarship program so they can include appropriate information. Remind them to include your full name in the letter.
- Type your essay and list of activities, use spell check, and proofread!
- Remember the Scholarship Deadlines!
