Toward Responsible Use of Substances Today
(TRUST) Coalition Agenda
April 21, 2005
Present: Sister Cynthia Hruby and Kathy Mohlfeld.
LB 592-this the Dram Shop and Social Host Liability proposal
introduced by Senator Kruse and 13 other senators. The bill
would provide for civil liability for retailers and other
adults who would provide alcohol to a minor or visibly intoxicated
person who later causes harm to a third party. Nebraska
is one of 18 states that do not have some form of social
host liability. This bill did not make it out of committee,
but it is expected to be reintroduced next year.

in the Counseling Center.
- Wildcat Wheels: 340 people served; Rider Appreciation
night (snacks & pop)
- 2 cabs will run during finals week with more
advertising
- We plan to request a $0.25/credit hour increase
of the Student Activity Fee from the Board of
Trustees in June to fund the Wildcat Wheels Safe
Ride program - Information

- “What’s Going On?” is distributed
across campus and the current
events are on the website
