Personal Counseling
Confidential counseling services are available, free of
charge, to all Wayne State College students. Personal counseling
may emphasize such areas as personal growth, values clarification,
dealing with homesickness, stress management, human sexuality,
and interpersonal relations. Other specific problems include
alcohol and drug abuse, eating disorders, and a variety
of possible crisis situtation, such as rape, relationship
breakups, or threat of suicide. Referral assistance is also
provided to other resources such as Student Health, hometown
mental health centers, Campus Ministry, Vocational Rehabilitation,
and Alcoholics Anonymous. Educational, support and fun groups/programs
sponsored by the Counseling Center are listed below:
