Information, Consultation and Advocacy

The Disability Services Program is not responsible for all physical and program access at WSC. Providing equal access to the WSC's programs and services is a responsibility which is shared by each area of the institution. The Disability Services Program counselor functions as a central source of information, provides consultation, and advocates for physical and program access throughout the campus. The Counselor is available to respond to requests for information and provide training to the campus community regarding disability related issues. The Counselor will consult with college faculty/staff and students regarding specific requests for accommodation, advocate for full and equal access throughout the campus, recommend the application of new knowledge, technology, and research findings to enhance campus access.
