It is the student's option to notify proper law enforcement authorities. Campus authorities can assist the student in notifying local law enforcement agencies if the student chooses. It is recommended that Campus security be notified immediately to allow for an early investigation and the preservation of evidence necessary for the proof of a criminal offense.
