2006-07: Selected All-NSIC Third Team during senior season, averaging 11.0 points, 4.55 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game....started all 29 games and led WSC in minutes per game at 33.6...scored season-high 19 points vs. Minnesota, Crookston (1-26-07) and Univ. of Mary (2-2-07)...had season-high nine assists vs. Mount Mercy College on 12-17-06...ranked fourth in NSIC in assists (4.55), fourth in three point field goal percentage (.455), fourth in assist/turnover ratio (1.86), 11th in field goal percentage (.479) and 12th in steals (1.21).

2005-06: Averaged 8.1 points and 5.13 assists while playing in all 31 games with 29 starts. Handed out career-high 13 assists in 85-61 win at Concordia-St. Paul on 2-17-06. Matched career-high with 20 points vs. Bemidji State on 1-21-06. Ranked third in the NSIC in assists (5.13), eighth in steals (1.68) and sixth in three point field goal percentage (.374). Also ranked fourth in assist/turnover ratio at 2.45. Had 159 assists on the season, second-most in school history for a single season. Named to the NSIC Winter All-Academic Team.

2004-05: Appeared in all 31 games for the 'Cats, earning 14 starts. Averaged 6.6 points and 3.10 assists per game, which ranked sixth in the NSIC. She was second in the NSIC in assist/turnover ratio at 1.50. Scored career-high 20 points vs. Colorado Christian on 11-20-04. Ranked seventh in the NSIC in three-point field goal percentage (.386).

2003-04: Played in all 28 games, starting three. Averaged 3.0 ppg and 0.8 rpg. Was tied for fourth on the team in assists with 1.0 apg. Had a 40.8% field goal percentage. Led the team in three point percentage at 40.8%. Had 14 steals to go along with seven blocks.

High School: A graduate of Omaha Westside High School. Was a four-year starter, earning First Team All-Metro, First Team Coaches All-State and Second Team All-Nebraska honors during her senior season. Averaged 17.4 ppg as a senior and holds numerous records, including most three-pointers in a season (49), highest three-point percentage in a season (45.8%), and second in free throw percentage (77.6%).

Wayne State has earned the #3 seed for the NCAA Div. II Central Regional Baseball Tournament hosted by Emporia State in Kansas. The 40-11 Wildcats meet #4 seed Central Missouri (41-15) in Thursday's first round with game times to be announced Monday afternoon.


Concordia-St. Paul topped #15 Wayne State 10-6 Sunday afternoon in the NSIC Baseball Tournament championship game. The 40-11 Wildcats await word from the NCAA on a at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament. Official pairings are to be released Sunday evening by the NCAA.


Nate Preston won three events to lead the WSC men to a third straight NSIC outdoor track and field championship Saturday in Wayne. The Wildcats scored 164 points to nip second place Mary (156.5) for the team title. Brett Suckstorf won two events (hammer throw and discus) for WSC.


The WSC women's track and field team finished in third place with 106 points at the NSIC Championships in Wayne. Katie Wilson won two events (hammer throw and discus) and took second in the shot put to lead the Wildcats.


The NSIC Office announced Saturday that the NSIC Baseball Tournament has been shortened to a single-elimination tournament with Wayne State and Concordia-St. Paul (the last two undefeated teams in the tournament) playing Sunday at 1 p.m. in Wayne and the winner earning the NSIC Tournament Title and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.


Nick Schumacher struck out a career-high 14 batters in a complete game win to lead #15 Wayne State to a 9-1 victory over Southwest Minnesota State at the NSIC Baseball Tournament in Wayne. The 40-10 Wildcats will play in the winner's bracket final Saturday at 10 a.m. against either Bemidji State or Concordia-St. Paul.


Seven WSC baseball players were named to the 2008 NSIC All-Conference Baseball Team announced Thursday afternoon. Nick Schumacher was named the NSIC Pitcher of the Year, Marc Manganaro earned the NSIC Co-Player of the Year while Nick Bidroski was selected the NSIC Co-Freshmen of the Year.
