2006-07: Selected First Team All-Northern Sun Conference after leading WSC in scoring (16.3) and second in rebounding (6.2)...ranked third in NSIC in scoring in overall games and was the top scorer in NSIC games at 16.5 ppg...led NSIC in free throw percentage (.878) and was third in steals (1.75)...finished career ranked ninth in career scoring with 1,264 points....set single season school record for free throws made, going 165/188 for .878 percent....named Nebraska NCAA Division II Player of the Week four times (12-19, 1-8, 1-15, 2-26) and named the Northern Sun Conference Player of the Week on 2-26-07 after averaging 24 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals in two home wins over Concordia-St. Paul and MSU Moorhead...Named to the NSIC Winter All-Academic Team for second straight season.

2005-06: Named Second Team All-Northern Sun Conference following stellar junior season, averaging 10.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Scored season-high 22 points twice, vs. Minn.-Crookston on 1-20-06 and vs. Concordia-St. Paul on 3-10-06 in first round of NCAA North Central Regional. Grabbed career-high 12 rebounds vs. Bemidji State on 2-10-06. Ranked 10th in the NSIC in rebounding (5.8) 15th in field goal percentage (.451) and ninth in free throw percentage (.730). Selected to the NSIC Red Baron Women's Basketball Classic All-Tournament Team, helping WSC win first-ever post-season tournament title. Named to the NSIC Winter All-Academic Team.

2004-05: Appeared in all 31 games for WSC with 30 starts. Averaged 9.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Was third on the team in scoring and rebounding. Tied for team lead in steals with 39. Selected to the Hoop-N-Surf All-Classic Team after helping 'Cats to two wins in Hawaii on 12-19 and 12-20-04. Averaged 13.5 points and four rebounds while shooting 80 percent from the field and 75 percent from the free throw line in wins over Findlay (Ohio) and Southwest Baptist of Missouri. Had two double-doubles this season (15 pts, 11 reb. vs. York College on 11-23-04 and 13 pts, 11 reb. vs. UNK on 11-30-04). Received honorable mention recognition on the Omaha World-Herald All-Nebraska NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Team.

2003-04:
Played in 27 games, starting nine. Was third on the team in scoring with 7.0 ppg. Was second on the team in rebounds with 4.3 rpg. Had 12 steals to go along with one block. Shot 42.3% from the field and 76.3% from the free throw line.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Grant High School. Was a three-year starter. Averaged 14.0 points and 9.9 rebounds per game throughout her high school career. Voted to the South Platte Valley Association all conference team and SPVA tournament MVP. Voted to the Omaha World Herald second team.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Bruce McCormick and Jorje Jette Geisert of Grant, Neb. . . born on April 8, 1985 in Grant, Nebraska. . . majoring in sport management.

Wayne State has earned the #3 seed for the NCAA Div. II Central Regional Baseball Tournament hosted by Emporia State in Kansas. The 40-11 Wildcats meet #4 seed Central Missouri (41-15) in Thursday's first round with game times to be announced Monday afternoon.


Concordia-St. Paul topped #15 Wayne State 10-6 Sunday afternoon in the NSIC Baseball Tournament championship game. The 40-11 Wildcats await word from the NCAA on a at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament. Official pairings are to be released Sunday evening by the NCAA.


Nate Preston won three events to lead the WSC men to a third straight NSIC outdoor track and field championship Saturday in Wayne. The Wildcats scored 164 points to nip second place Mary (156.5) for the team title. Brett Suckstorf won two events (hammer throw and discus) for WSC.


The WSC women's track and field team finished in third place with 106 points at the NSIC Championships in Wayne. Katie Wilson won two events (hammer throw and discus) and took second in the shot put to lead the Wildcats.


The NSIC Office announced Saturday that the NSIC Baseball Tournament has been shortened to a single-elimination tournament with Wayne State and Concordia-St. Paul (the last two undefeated teams in the tournament) playing Sunday at 1 p.m. in Wayne and the winner earning the NSIC Tournament Title and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.


Nick Schumacher struck out a career-high 14 batters in a complete game win to lead #15 Wayne State to a 9-1 victory over Southwest Minnesota State at the NSIC Baseball Tournament in Wayne. The 40-10 Wildcats will play in the winner's bracket final Saturday at 10 a.m. against either Bemidji State or Concordia-St. Paul.


Seven WSC baseball players were named to the 2008 NSIC All-Conference Baseball Team announced Thursday afternoon. Nick Schumacher was named the NSIC Pitcher of the Year, Marc Manganaro earned the NSIC Co-Player of the Year while Nick Bidroski was selected the NSIC Co-Freshmen of the Year.
