2006-07: Played in 27 games with six starts during senior season, averaging 2.5 points and 2.1 rebounds per game...had career-highs of 15 points and seven rebounds vs. Chadron State on 11-27-06...played career-high 28 minutes at Univ. of Mary on 12-9-06...Named to the NSIC Winter All-Academic Team for third straight season.

2005-06: Saw action in 28 of 31 games, averaging 2.0 points and 1.3 rebounds per game. Scored season-high 11 points on 11-26-05 in 57-42 win over Adams State. Grabbed career-high six rebounds in 82-47 win over Upper Iowa on 1-24-06. Played career-high 24 minutes vs. Upper Iowa on 1-24-06. For the second straight season, selected to the NSIC Winter All-Academic Team.

2004-05: Appeared in 18 games (one start), including 10 of 14 NSIC contests. Averaged 1.9 points and 1.1 rebounds per game. Had season-high four assists vs. Colorado Christian on 11-20-04. Scored six points twice, vs. Mount Mercy College (12-11-04) and Winona State (2-19-05). Played season-high 18 minutes at Minnesota-Crookston on 2-12-05. Named to the NSIC All-Academic Team.

2003-04: Played in 17 games for the Wildcats. She averaged 2.2 ppg and 0.9 rpg. She was 31.4% from the field and second on the team in free throw percentage with 81.8% from the free throw line. Scored season-high 14 points at Concordia-St. Paul on 2-13-04.

High School: A graduate of Campbell County High School. Was a three-year starter. Selected to the all-conference and all-state teams...Led team in the Oregon Trail Tournament and was voted tourney MVP...Team finished in the USA Today Top 10 last season. Averaged 10 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists per game as a senior.

Wayne State has earned the #3 seed for the NCAA Div. II Central Regional Baseball Tournament hosted by Emporia State in Kansas. The 40-11 Wildcats meet #4 seed Central Missouri (41-15) in Thursday's first round with game times to be announced Monday afternoon.


Concordia-St. Paul topped #15 Wayne State 10-6 Sunday afternoon in the NSIC Baseball Tournament championship game. The 40-11 Wildcats await word from the NCAA on a at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament. Official pairings are to be released Sunday evening by the NCAA.


Nate Preston won three events to lead the WSC men to a third straight NSIC outdoor track and field championship Saturday in Wayne. The Wildcats scored 164 points to nip second place Mary (156.5) for the team title. Brett Suckstorf won two events (hammer throw and discus) for WSC.


The WSC women's track and field team finished in third place with 106 points at the NSIC Championships in Wayne. Katie Wilson won two events (hammer throw and discus) and took second in the shot put to lead the Wildcats.


The NSIC Office announced Saturday that the NSIC Baseball Tournament has been shortened to a single-elimination tournament with Wayne State and Concordia-St. Paul (the last two undefeated teams in the tournament) playing Sunday at 1 p.m. in Wayne and the winner earning the NSIC Tournament Title and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.


Nick Schumacher struck out a career-high 14 batters in a complete game win to lead #15 Wayne State to a 9-1 victory over Southwest Minnesota State at the NSIC Baseball Tournament in Wayne. The 40-10 Wildcats will play in the winner's bracket final Saturday at 10 a.m. against either Bemidji State or Concordia-St. Paul.


Seven WSC baseball players were named to the 2008 NSIC All-Conference Baseball Team announced Thursday afternoon. Nick Schumacher was named the NSIC Pitcher of the Year, Marc Manganaro earned the NSIC Co-Player of the Year while Nick Bidroski was selected the NSIC Co-Freshmen of the Year.
