2006: Played in 38 matches and 133 games as the Wildcat libero. . . Recorded 779 digs (5.86 dpg, 1st in NSIC) and 69 set assists. . . Ranked on the all-time charts at WSC in career digs (2,137, 1st) and single season digs (779, 2nd; set the single season record in 2005). . . Named NSIC Defensive Player of the Week four times. . . Had a season-high 36 digs against Dordt College on 10-9-06. . . Selected to the Daktronics, Inc. North Central All-Region Team, First Team All-Conference Team and the Libero of the Year in the NSIC. . . Also was a member of the NSIC All-Tournament Team. Named to the Omaha World Herald All-Nebraska Division II Volleyball Team.

2005: Shattered single season digs record at WSC with 818, averaging 6.60 digs per game (5th in NCAA Division II). Named First Team All-NSIC libero and Co-Libero of the Year in the NSIC. Also received All-North Central Region Second Team honors. Set new school record with 49 digs in match vs. Northern State on 9-23-05. Was named NSIC Defensive Player of the Week five times. Selected to the 2005 Fall NSIC All-Academic Team. Already ranks fourth in school history with 1,358 career digs. Needs 486 digs to become WSC all-time leader in career digs. Named to the Omaha World Herald All-Nebraska Volleyball Team as the top libero.

2004: Had stellar freshman season as Wildcats' libero recording 540 digs, the third-most in a single seson in school history. Named NSIC Defensive Player of the Week three times during the season (9-7, 10-4 and 11-8). Had career-high 33 digs vs. Central Oklahoma on 8-28.
Selected Wayne State Female Freshman Athlete of the Year at annual WSC Honors Banquet on 5-1-05.

High School
: Was a member of the volleyball team that went 87-0. Won three consecutive State Championships. As a senior was selected 1st Team All-State, 1st Team All-Conference, member of 2004 Nebraska Coaches Association All-Star Volleyball Team, C-1 All Tournament Team. Was selected 1st Team All-Conference as a junior. Recorded 528 digs at Columbus Scotus High School. Lettered in basketball and was selected All-State Honorable Mention as junior and senior, C-1 All Tournament Team. Team went 25-0 and won State Championship. Lettered in Soccer and was selected 1st Team All-State. Team won Class B State Championship.

Wayne State has earned the #3 seed for the NCAA Div. II Central Regional Baseball Tournament hosted by Emporia State in Kansas. The 40-11 Wildcats meet #4 seed Central Missouri (41-15) in Thursday's first round with game times to be announced Monday afternoon.


Concordia-St. Paul topped #15 Wayne State 10-6 Sunday afternoon in the NSIC Baseball Tournament championship game. The 40-11 Wildcats await word from the NCAA on a at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament. Official pairings are to be released Sunday evening by the NCAA.


Nate Preston won three events to lead the WSC men to a third straight NSIC outdoor track and field championship Saturday in Wayne. The Wildcats scored 164 points to nip second place Mary (156.5) for the team title. Brett Suckstorf won two events (hammer throw and discus) for WSC.


The WSC women's track and field team finished in third place with 106 points at the NSIC Championships in Wayne. Katie Wilson won two events (hammer throw and discus) and took second in the shot put to lead the Wildcats.


The NSIC Office announced Saturday that the NSIC Baseball Tournament has been shortened to a single-elimination tournament with Wayne State and Concordia-St. Paul (the last two undefeated teams in the tournament) playing Sunday at 1 p.m. in Wayne and the winner earning the NSIC Tournament Title and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.


Nick Schumacher struck out a career-high 14 batters in a complete game win to lead #15 Wayne State to a 9-1 victory over Southwest Minnesota State at the NSIC Baseball Tournament in Wayne. The 40-10 Wildcats will play in the winner's bracket final Saturday at 10 a.m. against either Bemidji State or Concordia-St. Paul.


Seven WSC baseball players were named to the 2008 NSIC All-Conference Baseball Team announced Thursday afternoon. Nick Schumacher was named the NSIC Pitcher of the Year, Marc Manganaro earned the NSIC Co-Player of the Year while Nick Bidroski was selected the NSIC Co-Freshmen of the Year.
