83rd Annual Howard Wood Dakota Relays

Sioux Falls is proud to be the birthplace of the Howard Wood Dakota Relays.

The Howard Wood Dakota Relays has experienced phenomenal growth since the first one-day event was held May 4, 1923. Over the years it has become one of South Dakota's premier athletic events.

As the 83rd running of the classic unfolds on May 4 & 5, 2007, more than 3,000 middle school, high school, college, and university student/athletes will be competing. The dedication of hundreds of volunteers, the financial support of area businesses, and outstanding facilities makes the Howard Wood Dakota Relays the meet of choice for many area track fans.
