Aaron Keiser is in his second season as a graduate assistant coach for the track and field programs at Wayne State College. He was an assistant track coach at Texas A&M Kingsville before coming to WSC. Keiser was a standout track athlete at Simpson College in Iowa, where he received his bachelor's degree in physical education. Aaron was an All-Conference Decathlete at Simpson in 2004 and placed ninth in the decathlon at the Drake Relays in 2004. He also qualified for the NCAA Division III Nationals in the decathlon in 2004. He was a two-time captain and a three-year letterwinner in track and field at Simpson. Keiser is a native of Winfield, Iowa and was a four-sport standout at Winfield-Mt. Union High School.
Keiser will coach sprinters, jumps, hurdles, pole-vault, javelin and multi-event athletes at WSC. He is working on his masters degree in exercise science at WSC and resides in Wayne.

Concordia-St. Paul topped #15 Wayne State 10-6 Sunday afternoon in the NSIC Baseball Tournament championship game. The 40-11 Wildcats await word from the NCAA on a at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament. Official pairings are to be released Sunday evening by the NCAA.
Nate Preston won three events to lead the WSC men to a third straight NSIC outdoor track and field championship Saturday in Wayne. The Wildcats scored 164 points to nip second place Mary (156.5) for the team title. Brett Suckstorf won two events (hammer throw and discus) for WSC.
The WSC women's track and field team finished in third place with 106 points at the NSIC Championships in Wayne. Katie Wilson won two events (hammer throw and discus) and took second in the shot put to lead the Wildcats.
The NSIC Office announced Saturday that the NSIC Baseball Tournament has been shortened to a single-elimination tournament with Wayne State and Concordia-St. Paul (the last two undefeated teams in the tournament) playing Sunday at 1 p.m. in Wayne and the winner earning the NSIC Tournament Title and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Nick Schumacher struck out a career-high 14 batters in a complete game win to lead #15 Wayne State to a 9-1 victory over Southwest Minnesota State at the NSIC Baseball Tournament in Wayne. The 40-10 Wildcats will play in the winner's bracket final Saturday at 10 a.m. against either Bemidji State or Concordia-St. Paul.
Seven WSC baseball players were named to the 2008 NSIC All-Conference Baseball Team announced Thursday afternoon. Nick Schumacher was named the NSIC Pitcher of the Year, Marc Manganaro earned the NSIC Co-Player of the Year while Nick Bidroski was selected the NSIC Co-Freshmen of the Year.
