2007 Outdoor: Scored points in two events at the NSIC Championships in Moorhead, Minnesota, taking fifth in the 1,500 meter run (4:05.39) and ran leg on first place 4 x 800 meter relay team that was clocked in 7:52.42...finished third in one mile run (4:33.82) and fifth in 800 meter run (1:59.77) at the Wildcat Open on 4-16-07.

2007 Indoor: Finished fifth at the NSIC Championships in the 1,000 meter run with time of 2:38.42...posted season-best time of 4:34.99 in the one mile run at Wildcat Open on 2-10-07.

2006 Outdoor: Just missed placing in the 1500 meter run at the NSIC Championships, finishing eighth at 4:38.57......ran season-best time of 4:15.15 at the Sioux City Relays on 4-22-06....also competed in 3,000 meter steeplechase and ran 11:09.24 at the Wildcat Classic on 4-8-06.

2006 Indoor: Finished third in the 1,000 meter run with a season-best time of 2:39.45 at the NSIC Indoor Championships to earn All-NSIC honorable mentions honors. Ran a season-best 4:46.1 at the NSU Quadrangular on 1-21-06.

2005 Outdoor: Sat out season as a redshirt, but competed in several events unattached in the 800 and 1500 meter runs. Season-best time in the 800 meter run was 2:03.16 at the Sioux City Relays on 4-23-05. Ran personal-best time of 4:14.30 in the 1500-meter run at the Nebraska Wesleyan Invite on 4-29-05.

2005 Indoor: Competed unattached in several meets during the indoor season in the 1500-meter run. Ran season-best time of 4:40.27 at the Derek Miles Open at South Dakota on 1-22-05.

Wayne State has earned the #3 seed for the NCAA Div. II Central Regional Baseball Tournament hosted by Emporia State in Kansas. The 40-11 Wildcats meet #4 seed Central Missouri (41-15) in Thursday's first round with game times to be announced Monday afternoon.

Concordia-St. Paul topped #15 Wayne State 10-6 Sunday afternoon in the NSIC Baseball Tournament championship game. The 40-11 Wildcats await word from the NCAA on a at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament. Official pairings are to be released Sunday evening by the NCAA.

Nate Preston won three events to lead the WSC men to a third straight NSIC outdoor track and field championship Saturday in Wayne. The Wildcats scored 164 points to nip second place Mary (156.5) for the team title. Brett Suckstorf won two events (hammer throw and discus) for WSC.

The WSC women's track and field team finished in third place with 106 points at the NSIC Championships in Wayne. Katie Wilson won two events (hammer throw and discus) and took second in the shot put to lead the Wildcats.

The NSIC Office announced Saturday that the NSIC Baseball Tournament has been shortened to a single-elimination tournament with Wayne State and Concordia-St. Paul (the last two undefeated teams in the tournament) playing Sunday at 1 p.m. in Wayne and the winner earning the NSIC Tournament Title and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Nick Schumacher struck out a career-high 14 batters in a complete game win to lead #15 Wayne State to a 9-1 victory over Southwest Minnesota State at the NSIC Baseball Tournament in Wayne. The 40-10 Wildcats will play in the winner's bracket final Saturday at 10 a.m. against either Bemidji State or Concordia-St. Paul.

Seven WSC baseball players were named to the 2008 NSIC All-Conference Baseball Team announced Thursday afternoon. Nick Schumacher was named the NSIC Pitcher of the Year, Marc Manganaro earned the NSIC Co-Player of the Year while Nick Bidroski was selected the NSIC Co-Freshmen of the Year.
