2007 Outdoor: Ran leg on 4 x 800 meter relay team that placed fourth at NSIC Outdoor Championships in time of 9:36.53...finished 10th in 1,500 meter run at NSIC meet in time of 5:11.12.

2007 Indoor: Just missed placing in the 1,000 meter run at NSIC Indoor Championships, finishing seventh in time of 3:14.06...ran season-best time of 5:44.71 in one mile run to place fourth at South Dakota Open on 2-15-07 and posted season-best time of 2:31.43 in 800 meter run at WIldcat Open in Wayne on 2-10-07.

High School: Attended Grand Island Northwest HS where she lettered in track, volleyball, basketball and cross country. . . Qualified for state three times in track and once in cross country. . . Helped her team win three district championships and a state championship in track. . . Best time in 800 meter run was 2:24.

Personal: Daughter of Chuck and Deb Costello. . . Born on January 6, 1988. . . Major is undecided.

Wayne State has earned the #3 seed for the NCAA Div. II Central Regional Baseball Tournament hosted by Emporia State in Kansas. The 40-11 Wildcats meet #4 seed Central Missouri (41-15) in Thursday's first round with game times to be announced Monday afternoon.

Concordia-St. Paul topped #15 Wayne State 10-6 Sunday afternoon in the NSIC Baseball Tournament championship game. The 40-11 Wildcats await word from the NCAA on a at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament. Official pairings are to be released Sunday evening by the NCAA.

Nate Preston won three events to lead the WSC men to a third straight NSIC outdoor track and field championship Saturday in Wayne. The Wildcats scored 164 points to nip second place Mary (156.5) for the team title. Brett Suckstorf won two events (hammer throw and discus) for WSC.

The WSC women's track and field team finished in third place with 106 points at the NSIC Championships in Wayne. Katie Wilson won two events (hammer throw and discus) and took second in the shot put to lead the Wildcats.

The NSIC Office announced Saturday that the NSIC Baseball Tournament has been shortened to a single-elimination tournament with Wayne State and Concordia-St. Paul (the last two undefeated teams in the tournament) playing Sunday at 1 p.m. in Wayne and the winner earning the NSIC Tournament Title and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Nick Schumacher struck out a career-high 14 batters in a complete game win to lead #15 Wayne State to a 9-1 victory over Southwest Minnesota State at the NSIC Baseball Tournament in Wayne. The 40-10 Wildcats will play in the winner's bracket final Saturday at 10 a.m. against either Bemidji State or Concordia-St. Paul.

Seven WSC baseball players were named to the 2008 NSIC All-Conference Baseball Team announced Thursday afternoon. Nick Schumacher was named the NSIC Pitcher of the Year, Marc Manganaro earned the NSIC Co-Player of the Year while Nick Bidroski was selected the NSIC Co-Freshmen of the Year.
