2007 Outdoor: Ran a leg on the third place 4 x 100 meter relay team at the NSIC Championships in Moorhead, Minnesota...also placed seventh in the 200 meter run with a season best time of 23.02... had great season running a leg of the 4 x 100 meter relay team, placing second at the Sioux City Relays (42.63) and first at the University of Nebraska Open (42.37).

2007 Indoor: Earned All-Conference honors running a leg on the conference champion distance medley relay team at the NSIC Championships in Bemidji, Minnesota...placed fifth at the Bill Hilldenbrand Invitational in Vermillion, SD in the 400 meter dash with a time of 53.07...ran a season best time of 52.39 seconds in the 400 meter dash at the Iowa State Open (1-20-07).

2006 Outdoor: Ran leg on third place 4 x 100 meter relay team (43.62) at the NSIC Championships.....just missed finals in 200 meter dash, running 23.17 (season best) to place ninth, missing finals by .02.....ran season best time of 52.57 in the 400 meter dash at the Sioux City Relays on 4-21-06.

2006 Indoor: Competed in the 200 meter dash, 400 meter dash and ran a leg on the 4x400 meter relay team. Ran a season-best time of 23.77 in the 200 meter dash at the NSU Quadrangular on 1-21-06 and a season-best time of 54.76 in the 400 meter dash at the Iowa State Open on 1-28-06.

2005 Outdoor: Ran leg on fourth-place 400 meter relay team at the NSIC Championships May 6-7 at Moorhead, Minn. (44.33). Also competed in the 200 (23.32) and 400 (52.71) meter dashes, running season-best times in both events. Competed in three meets in the long jump. Had season-best leap of 19'4 1/2" at the WSC Twilight Meet on 3-29-05.

2005 Indoor: Competed in three events at the NSIC Indoor Meet. Ran season-best 23.85 in 200 meter dash at NSIC Championships to finish 12th; Finished 11th in the triple jump (38'6") and 13th in the long jump (19'4 3/4"). Ran 55/60 meter dash and 200 meter dash at Derek Miles Open at South Dakota and UNK Open.

Wayne State has earned the #3 seed for the NCAA Div. II Central Regional Baseball Tournament hosted by Emporia State in Kansas. The 40-11 Wildcats meet #4 seed Central Missouri (41-15) in Thursday's first round with game times to be announced Monday afternoon.


Concordia-St. Paul topped #15 Wayne State 10-6 Sunday afternoon in the NSIC Baseball Tournament championship game. The 40-11 Wildcats await word from the NCAA on a at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament. Official pairings are to be released Sunday evening by the NCAA.


Nate Preston won three events to lead the WSC men to a third straight NSIC outdoor track and field championship Saturday in Wayne. The Wildcats scored 164 points to nip second place Mary (156.5) for the team title. Brett Suckstorf won two events (hammer throw and discus) for WSC.


The WSC women's track and field team finished in third place with 106 points at the NSIC Championships in Wayne. Katie Wilson won two events (hammer throw and discus) and took second in the shot put to lead the Wildcats.


The NSIC Office announced Saturday that the NSIC Baseball Tournament has been shortened to a single-elimination tournament with Wayne State and Concordia-St. Paul (the last two undefeated teams in the tournament) playing Sunday at 1 p.m. in Wayne and the winner earning the NSIC Tournament Title and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.


Nick Schumacher struck out a career-high 14 batters in a complete game win to lead #15 Wayne State to a 9-1 victory over Southwest Minnesota State at the NSIC Baseball Tournament in Wayne. The 40-10 Wildcats will play in the winner's bracket final Saturday at 10 a.m. against either Bemidji State or Concordia-St. Paul.


Seven WSC baseball players were named to the 2008 NSIC All-Conference Baseball Team announced Thursday afternoon. Nick Schumacher was named the NSIC Pitcher of the Year, Marc Manganaro earned the NSIC Co-Player of the Year while Nick Bidroski was selected the NSIC Co-Freshmen of the Year.
