2007 Outdoor: Finished fourth in 100 meter hurdles at NSIC Championships with time of 14.82 seconds...also ran leg on fourth place 4 x 100 meter relay team (49.31) at NSIC meet...reached NCAA national provisional qualifying mark of 14.43 seconds in 100 meter hurdles at Wildcat Open on 4-16-07...ran season-best times of 12.3 seconds in 100 meter dash and 26.1 seconds in 200 meter dash at Nebraska Open on 4-29-07.

2007 Indoor: Named NSIC Women's Track Athlete of the Year after winning two events and setting two new school records at NSIC Indoor Championships in Bemidji, Minnesota...set new school record in 200 meter dash with first place time of 25.90 seconds...also won 55 meter dash (7.31) and was fourth in 55 meter hurdles (8.36)...also ran leg on 4 x 400 meter relay team that set new school record with first place time of 4:03.62...also set new school records in 60 meter dash (7.99) at Derek Miles Open at South Dakota on 12-7-06 and ran 8.84 seconds in 60 meter hurdles at Iowa State Open on 1-20-07...qualified for NCAA Div. II Indoor Nationals in Boston, Mass. on 3-10-07, finishing 15th in 60-meter hurdles with time of 8.94 seconds.

High School: Attended Pierce HS where she lettered in track, volleyball and basketball. . . Was the All-Class state champion in 100-meter hurdles in 2005 with a time of 14.94. . . Also the Class B state champion in 100-meter hurdles in 2004 and 2005. . . Holds the 200 meter dash record at 26.1. . . Also a standout volleyball player helping her school qualify for the state tournament in 2003.

Wayne State has earned the #3 seed for the NCAA Div. II Central Regional Baseball Tournament hosted by Emporia State in Kansas. The 40-11 Wildcats meet #4 seed Central Missouri (41-15) in Thursday's first round with game times to be announced Monday afternoon.


Concordia-St. Paul topped #15 Wayne State 10-6 Sunday afternoon in the NSIC Baseball Tournament championship game. The 40-11 Wildcats await word from the NCAA on a at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament. Official pairings are to be released Sunday evening by the NCAA.


Nate Preston won three events to lead the WSC men to a third straight NSIC outdoor track and field championship Saturday in Wayne. The Wildcats scored 164 points to nip second place Mary (156.5) for the team title. Brett Suckstorf won two events (hammer throw and discus) for WSC.


The WSC women's track and field team finished in third place with 106 points at the NSIC Championships in Wayne. Katie Wilson won two events (hammer throw and discus) and took second in the shot put to lead the Wildcats.


The NSIC Office announced Saturday that the NSIC Baseball Tournament has been shortened to a single-elimination tournament with Wayne State and Concordia-St. Paul (the last two undefeated teams in the tournament) playing Sunday at 1 p.m. in Wayne and the winner earning the NSIC Tournament Title and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.


Nick Schumacher struck out a career-high 14 batters in a complete game win to lead #15 Wayne State to a 9-1 victory over Southwest Minnesota State at the NSIC Baseball Tournament in Wayne. The 40-10 Wildcats will play in the winner's bracket final Saturday at 10 a.m. against either Bemidji State or Concordia-St. Paul.


Seven WSC baseball players were named to the 2008 NSIC All-Conference Baseball Team announced Thursday afternoon. Nick Schumacher was named the NSIC Pitcher of the Year, Marc Manganaro earned the NSIC Co-Player of the Year while Nick Bidroski was selected the NSIC Co-Freshmen of the Year.
