2007 Outdoor: Ran a leg on the fourth place 4 x 400 meter relay team at the NSIC Championships with a time of 3:22.95...placed sixth in the 400 meter dash at the Wildcat Classic (51.80)...ran a season best time of 50.14 in the 400 meter dash at the University of Nebraska Open.

2007 Indoor: Ran a leg on the fourth place 4 x 400 meter relay team (3:27.47) at the NSIC Championships...placed second in the 400 meter dash at the Derek Miles South Dakota Open in a time of 51.29...also ran a leg on the seventh place distance medley relay team at the Iowa State Open.

2006 Outdoor: Placed fifth in the 400 meter dash (50.30) at the NSIC Championships.....also ran leg on second place 4 x 400 meter relay team (3:21.47).....ran season-best time of 49.72 in the 400 meter dash at the Sioux City Relays on 4-21-06.

2006 Indoor: Finished third as a member of the 1600 meter relay team (3:27.65) and sixth in the 400 meter dash (51.68) at the NSIC Indoor Championships. Had season-best time of 23.65 in the 200 meter dash at the Prairie Wolf Open on 2-17-06.

2005 Outdoor: Named NSIC Men's Track Athlete of the Week on 4-4-05. Brink ran a personal best time of 50.94 in the 400 meter dash and ran a leg on the 1600 meter relay team that placed second in a season-best time of 3:26.22 on 4-2-05. Qualified for finals at NSIC Championships in the 400 meter dash, placing eighth with time of 52.81. Ran leg on 1600 relay at NSIC meet that took fifth place.

2005 Indoor: Just missed scoring points at the NSIC Indoor Championships, taking seventh in the 600-meter run (1:25.94). During regular season, also competed in 200, 400 and 500 meter dashes. Ran season-best of 24.38 in the 200 meter dash (at USD on 1/29/05).

Wayne State has earned the #3 seed for the NCAA Div. II Central Regional Baseball Tournament hosted by Emporia State in Kansas. The 40-11 Wildcats meet #4 seed Central Missouri (41-15) in Thursday's first round with game times to be announced Monday afternoon.


Concordia-St. Paul topped #15 Wayne State 10-6 Sunday afternoon in the NSIC Baseball Tournament championship game. The 40-11 Wildcats await word from the NCAA on a at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament. Official pairings are to be released Sunday evening by the NCAA.


Nate Preston won three events to lead the WSC men to a third straight NSIC outdoor track and field championship Saturday in Wayne. The Wildcats scored 164 points to nip second place Mary (156.5) for the team title. Brett Suckstorf won two events (hammer throw and discus) for WSC.


The WSC women's track and field team finished in third place with 106 points at the NSIC Championships in Wayne. Katie Wilson won two events (hammer throw and discus) and took second in the shot put to lead the Wildcats.


The NSIC Office announced Saturday that the NSIC Baseball Tournament has been shortened to a single-elimination tournament with Wayne State and Concordia-St. Paul (the last two undefeated teams in the tournament) playing Sunday at 1 p.m. in Wayne and the winner earning the NSIC Tournament Title and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.


Nick Schumacher struck out a career-high 14 batters in a complete game win to lead #15 Wayne State to a 9-1 victory over Southwest Minnesota State at the NSIC Baseball Tournament in Wayne. The 40-10 Wildcats will play in the winner's bracket final Saturday at 10 a.m. against either Bemidji State or Concordia-St. Paul.


Seven WSC baseball players were named to the 2008 NSIC All-Conference Baseball Team announced Thursday afternoon. Nick Schumacher was named the NSIC Pitcher of the Year, Marc Manganaro earned the NSIC Co-Player of the Year while Nick Bidroski was selected the NSIC Co-Freshmen of the Year.
