2007 Outdoor: Set two new school records during the 2007 outdoor season for WSC....scored 4,236 points (new school record) in heptathlon at NSIC Championships and placed third in 400 meter hurdles with new school record and NCAA national provisional qualifying mark of 1:03.02...both previous school records broken by Lippman were set by Tiffani Jensen in 1990 season...ran legs on 4 x 100 meter relay team (4th-49.31) and 4 x 400 meter relay team (5th-4:01.85) at NSIC Championships in Moorhead, Minnesota...named to the NSIC Spring All-Academic Team.

2007 Indoor: Scored points in four events at NSIC Indoor Championships in Bemidji, Minnesota on 2-23/24-07...placed third in pentathlon (2,950 points) and fifth in 600 meter run (1:42.72)...ran legs on two relay teams that set new school records--4 x 400 meter relay team that was first at NSIC meet in time of 4:03.62 and distance medley relay team that was second in time of 12:36.74...selected to the NSIC Winter All-Academic Team.

2006 Outdoor: Finished sixth in the heptathlon at the NSIC Outdoor Championships with 3,684 points....also placed sixth in the 400 meter hurdles (1:07.94) and ran legs on the fourth place 4 x 400 meter relay team (4:09.77) and the sixth place 4 x 100 meter relay team (55.95)....also competed in high jump during the year, clearing a season-best 5' 3" at the Division II Challenge on 4-15-06 in Emporia, Kansas.

2006 Indoor: Finished sixth in the high jump (5' 1/4") at the NSIC Indoor Championships. Had season-best time of 9.14 in the 55 meter hurdles at the NSIC Pentathlon on 2-12-06. Also ran season-best time of 9.87 in the 60 meter hurdles at the DII Challenge on 2-4-06.

High School: Multi-sport standout at Pierce High School.....lettered in volleyball, basketball and track and field....three-year state qualifier in track and field....top point scorer for Pierce track in 2005.....named academic all-state in basketball and track and field in 2004.

Personal: Daughter of Ron and VerJean Lippman.....Born on Dec. 12, 1986.....majoring in advertising at WSC.

Wayne State has earned the #3 seed for the NCAA Div. II Central Regional Baseball Tournament hosted by Emporia State in Kansas. The 40-11 Wildcats meet #4 seed Central Missouri (41-15) in Thursday's first round with game times to be announced Monday afternoon.


Concordia-St. Paul topped #15 Wayne State 10-6 Sunday afternoon in the NSIC Baseball Tournament championship game. The 40-11 Wildcats await word from the NCAA on a at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament. Official pairings are to be released Sunday evening by the NCAA.


Nate Preston won three events to lead the WSC men to a third straight NSIC outdoor track and field championship Saturday in Wayne. The Wildcats scored 164 points to nip second place Mary (156.5) for the team title. Brett Suckstorf won two events (hammer throw and discus) for WSC.


The WSC women's track and field team finished in third place with 106 points at the NSIC Championships in Wayne. Katie Wilson won two events (hammer throw and discus) and took second in the shot put to lead the Wildcats.


The NSIC Office announced Saturday that the NSIC Baseball Tournament has been shortened to a single-elimination tournament with Wayne State and Concordia-St. Paul (the last two undefeated teams in the tournament) playing Sunday at 1 p.m. in Wayne and the winner earning the NSIC Tournament Title and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.


Nick Schumacher struck out a career-high 14 batters in a complete game win to lead #15 Wayne State to a 9-1 victory over Southwest Minnesota State at the NSIC Baseball Tournament in Wayne. The 40-10 Wildcats will play in the winner's bracket final Saturday at 10 a.m. against either Bemidji State or Concordia-St. Paul.


Seven WSC baseball players were named to the 2008 NSIC All-Conference Baseball Team announced Thursday afternoon. Nick Schumacher was named the NSIC Pitcher of the Year, Marc Manganaro earned the NSIC Co-Player of the Year while Nick Bidroski was selected the NSIC Co-Freshmen of the Year.
