2007 Outdoor: Placed fourth in the 800 meter run at the NSIC Championships with time of 2:20.44...also ran legs on fourth place 4 x 800 meter relay team and fifth place 4 x 400 meter relay team at NSIC Championships...took first in the 800 meter run at the Wildcat Classic on 4-16-07 in time of 2:20.05...ran season-best time of 2:18.69 in the 800 meter run at the Sioux City Relays on 4-21-07 to place second...named to the NSIC Spring All-Academic Team for third straight season.

2007 Indoor: Earned NSIC All-Conference honors with second place finish in 800 meter run with time of 2:19.92...also ran legs on two relay teams that set new school records...teamed with Rachel Roebke, Kylie Herian and Jade Lippman to win 4 x 400 meter relay in time of 4:03.62 and placed second in distance medley relay with Molly Gibson, Jade Lippman and Megan Zavorka in time of 12:36.74...earned NSIC Winter All-Academic honors for third straight season.

2006 Outdoor: Scored points in two events at the NSIC Championships in Wayne.....placed fifth in the 400 meter dash (1:01.00) and ran leg on fourth place 4 x 400 meter relay team (4:09.77)....ran team best time of 26.86 in the 200 meter dash at the Wildcat Classic (4-8-06) and ran 2:18.80 in the 800 meter run at the Sioux City Relays on 4-21-06.....selected to the NSIC All-Academic Team for the second straight season.

2006 Indoor: Named 2006 NSIC Women's Track Athlete of the Year. Won the 600 and 1,000-meter runs at the NSIC Indoor Championships and ran leg on first place distance medley relay team that set new school record of 12:49.06. Set new school record of 1:39.06 in the 600 meter run at the Wildcat Open on 2-11-06. Ran season-best time of 2:18.62 in 800 meter run at ISU Open on 1-28-06. Named to the NSIC Winter All-Academic Team for second straight season.

2005 Outdoor: Received All-NSIC honors by placing second in the 800 meter run (2:24.30) at the NSIC Championships. Also placed fourth in the 200 meter dash (26.25). Ran season-best 2:17.97 in the 800 to place fourth at the Kansas Relays (4-22-05). Also ran leg on fourth place 1600 meter relay team at NSIC Meet. Selected to the NSIC All-Academic Team.

2005 Indoor: Won the 800 meter run at the NSIC Indoor Championships (2:23.18) and was second in the 400 meter dash (59.22) to earn All-NSIC honors in both events.Erin also ran leg on second place 1600 meter relay team that was NSIC honorable mention. Set new indoor school record in the 800 meter run (2:17.68) at the Prairie Wolf Open in Lincoln on 2-11-05. Named NSIC Women's Track Athlete of the Week on 2-15-05. Also named to the NSIC All-Academic Team.

2004 Outdoor: Scored points in four events at the NSIC Championships. Placed seventh as a freshman in the 200 (26.54) and 400 (59.08) meter dashes. Ran legs on fifth place relay teams in the 400 and 1600 meter relays. Also helped set a new school record in the 3200 meter relay (9:31.71).

2004 Indoor: Placed second in three events at the NSIC Indoor Championships in Wayne, earning All-NSIC Second Team honors by taking second in the 200 meter dash (26.41) and second in the 400 meter dash (59.07), which set a new WSC indoor school record. Also ran leg on second place 1600 meter relay team that earned NSIC honorable mention honors and set a new WSC school record (4:06.18). Also ran leg on 3200 meter relay team that set new WSC school record on 1-31-04 with a time of 9:45.08.

High School: Graduate of Aurora High School.....four year letter winner in track and field and volleyball.....held school record in 400 meter dash (58.65)....also ran 100 and 200 meter dashes in high school.....played on four state qualifying volleyball teams, including state championship club in 2001.

Personal: Daughter of Jay and Linda Oswald.....Born on Jan. 11, 1985.....majoring in education.....younger sister Kate is a member of WSC women's track team, competing in triple jump.

Wayne State has earned the #3 seed for the NCAA Div. II Central Regional Baseball Tournament hosted by Emporia State in Kansas. The 40-11 Wildcats meet #4 seed Central Missouri (41-15) in Thursday's first round with game times to be announced Monday afternoon.


Concordia-St. Paul topped #15 Wayne State 10-6 Sunday afternoon in the NSIC Baseball Tournament championship game. The 40-11 Wildcats await word from the NCAA on a at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament. Official pairings are to be released Sunday evening by the NCAA.


Nate Preston won three events to lead the WSC men to a third straight NSIC outdoor track and field championship Saturday in Wayne. The Wildcats scored 164 points to nip second place Mary (156.5) for the team title. Brett Suckstorf won two events (hammer throw and discus) for WSC.


The WSC women's track and field team finished in third place with 106 points at the NSIC Championships in Wayne. Katie Wilson won two events (hammer throw and discus) and took second in the shot put to lead the Wildcats.


The NSIC Office announced Saturday that the NSIC Baseball Tournament has been shortened to a single-elimination tournament with Wayne State and Concordia-St. Paul (the last two undefeated teams in the tournament) playing Sunday at 1 p.m. in Wayne and the winner earning the NSIC Tournament Title and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.


Nick Schumacher struck out a career-high 14 batters in a complete game win to lead #15 Wayne State to a 9-1 victory over Southwest Minnesota State at the NSIC Baseball Tournament in Wayne. The 40-10 Wildcats will play in the winner's bracket final Saturday at 10 a.m. against either Bemidji State or Concordia-St. Paul.


Seven WSC baseball players were named to the 2008 NSIC All-Conference Baseball Team announced Thursday afternoon. Nick Schumacher was named the NSIC Pitcher of the Year, Marc Manganaro earned the NSIC Co-Player of the Year while Nick Bidroski was selected the NSIC Co-Freshmen of the Year.
