2006-07: Started and played in all 28 games at forward for the Wildcats...Averaged 8.5 points 6.8 rebounds per game...scored career-high 29 points vs. Minnesota, Crookston on 12-2-06 to earn Nebraska NCAA Division II Player of the Week honors...had four double-doubles, including three in NSIC games...grabbed career-high 17 rebounds vs. York College on 11-15-06...finished season ranked fourth in rebounds (6.8), fourth in field goal percentage (.557) and fifth in offensive rebounds (2.21).

2005-06: Played in all 25 games as a true freshman, starting seven games at the end of the season. Averaged 4.4 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. Scored career-high 12 points vs. MSU Moorhead on 1-7-06. Grabbed career-high 11 rebounds vs. Morningside College on 12-16-05. Shot 45.6 percent (41 of 90) from the field and 70.4 percent (19 of 27) from the free throw line.

HIGH SCHOOL: Averaged 20.4 points, 12 rebounds, four blocks and 2.5 assists per game during senior sesaon, earning First Team Class 2A All-State, All-District and All-Conference honors. Helped team to unbeaten regular season as a senior.
Earned First Team Class 2A All-State, All-District and All-Conference honors by averaging 21 points and 12 rebounds per game.
Averaged 17 points and 12 rebounds per game as a sophomore.
All-time leading scorer and rebounder at Maquoketa Valley High School.

Wayne State has earned the #3 seed for the NCAA Div. II Central Regional Baseball Tournament hosted by Emporia State in Kansas. The 40-11 Wildcats meet #4 seed Central Missouri (41-15) in Thursday's first round with game times to be announced Monday afternoon.


Concordia-St. Paul topped #15 Wayne State 10-6 Sunday afternoon in the NSIC Baseball Tournament championship game. The 40-11 Wildcats await word from the NCAA on a at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament. Official pairings are to be released Sunday evening by the NCAA.


Nate Preston won three events to lead the WSC men to a third straight NSIC outdoor track and field championship Saturday in Wayne. The Wildcats scored 164 points to nip second place Mary (156.5) for the team title. Brett Suckstorf won two events (hammer throw and discus) for WSC.


The WSC women's track and field team finished in third place with 106 points at the NSIC Championships in Wayne. Katie Wilson won two events (hammer throw and discus) and took second in the shot put to lead the Wildcats.


The NSIC Office announced Saturday that the NSIC Baseball Tournament has been shortened to a single-elimination tournament with Wayne State and Concordia-St. Paul (the last two undefeated teams in the tournament) playing Sunday at 1 p.m. in Wayne and the winner earning the NSIC Tournament Title and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.


Nick Schumacher struck out a career-high 14 batters in a complete game win to lead #15 Wayne State to a 9-1 victory over Southwest Minnesota State at the NSIC Baseball Tournament in Wayne. The 40-10 Wildcats will play in the winner's bracket final Saturday at 10 a.m. against either Bemidji State or Concordia-St. Paul.


Seven WSC baseball players were named to the 2008 NSIC All-Conference Baseball Team announced Thursday afternoon. Nick Schumacher was named the NSIC Pitcher of the Year, Marc Manganaro earned the NSIC Co-Player of the Year while Nick Bidroski was selected the NSIC Co-Freshmen of the Year.
