2006-07: Started and played in all 28 games at guard for the Wildcats...averaged 7.6 points and 2.1 rebounds per game...sank game-winning 30-footer against Mount Marty College on 12-30-06, giving WSC 70-67 win...scored career-high 21 points at Univ. of Mary on 12-9-06...grabbed career-high six rebounds vs. MSU Moorhead on 2-24-07...made 12 of 12 free throws vs. Univ. of Mary on 12-9-06 and 10 of 11 vs. South Dakota on 11-18-06...Named to the NSIC All-Academic Team.

2005-06: Appeared in 23 games with one start as a true freshman. Scored career-high 11 points in just 12 minutes at Southwest Minnesota State on 2-4-06, going 4 for 4 from field and 3 of 3 from the three point line. In lone start vs. University of Mary, scored nine points, going 3 for 4 from the field and 3 of 3 from the three point line. Shot 37.8 percent from the field (31 of 82) and 35.3 percent (24 of 68) from the three point line.

HIGH SCHOOL: Averaged 24.5 points per game his senior season at BCLUW High School, earning First Team All-State, All-Conference and All-District honors. Scored 26.1 points per game in junior season to earn First Team All-State, All-Conference and All-District honors. Was a McDonald's All-American nominee.

Wayne State has earned the #3 seed for the NCAA Div. II Central Regional Baseball Tournament hosted by Emporia State in Kansas. The 40-11 Wildcats meet #4 seed Central Missouri (41-15) in Thursday's first round with game times to be announced Monday afternoon.


Concordia-St. Paul topped #15 Wayne State 10-6 Sunday afternoon in the NSIC Baseball Tournament championship game. The 40-11 Wildcats await word from the NCAA on a at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament. Official pairings are to be released Sunday evening by the NCAA.


Nate Preston won three events to lead the WSC men to a third straight NSIC outdoor track and field championship Saturday in Wayne. The Wildcats scored 164 points to nip second place Mary (156.5) for the team title. Brett Suckstorf won two events (hammer throw and discus) for WSC.


The WSC women's track and field team finished in third place with 106 points at the NSIC Championships in Wayne. Katie Wilson won two events (hammer throw and discus) and took second in the shot put to lead the Wildcats.


The NSIC Office announced Saturday that the NSIC Baseball Tournament has been shortened to a single-elimination tournament with Wayne State and Concordia-St. Paul (the last two undefeated teams in the tournament) playing Sunday at 1 p.m. in Wayne and the winner earning the NSIC Tournament Title and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.


Nick Schumacher struck out a career-high 14 batters in a complete game win to lead #15 Wayne State to a 9-1 victory over Southwest Minnesota State at the NSIC Baseball Tournament in Wayne. The 40-10 Wildcats will play in the winner's bracket final Saturday at 10 a.m. against either Bemidji State or Concordia-St. Paul.


Seven WSC baseball players were named to the 2008 NSIC All-Conference Baseball Team announced Thursday afternoon. Nick Schumacher was named the NSIC Pitcher of the Year, Marc Manganaro earned the NSIC Co-Player of the Year while Nick Bidroski was selected the NSIC Co-Freshmen of the Year.
