Clint Brown enters his second season at Wayne State College as the team's defensive coordinator. In just his first season as the Wildcats' defensive coordinator, Brown helped the WSC defense move up the NSIC defensive statistical categories as WSC posted its first-ever winning record in Northern Sun Conference play at 4-3. The Wildcats ranked first in forced turnovers (32), third in red zone defense (75.6) and fourth in scoring defense (26.4). In 2005, WSC posted their first shutout since the 2001 season when the Wildcats blanked MSU Moorhead on Homecoming (October 1) 33-0.

Brown comes to Wayne State from New Mexico State, where he was a defensive backs coach for two years. Prior to coaching at New Mexico State, Brown was a defensive coordinator at Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas. He also served as the team's recruiting coordinator and academic coordinator for the football program. While at Bethel College, the team posted an 8-2 record.

Before moving to Bethel College, Brown served as a graduate assistant at New Mexico State where he coached the linebackers and the secondary. Prior to New Mexico State, he served as a graduate assistant at University of Nebraska-Omaha (1996, defensive ends) and an assistant at Nebraska Wesleyan (1995, linebackers).

Brown earned two letters as a member of the Nebraska Cornhusker program. He was a member of the 1994 National Championship team that went 13-0, including a 24-17 win over Miami (FL) in the FedEx Orange Bowl. Brown also played in the 1993 FedEx Orange Bowl.

Brown received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Nebraska in 1996 and earned his Master's Degree from New Mexico State University in 1999. A native of Arlington, Nebraska, Clint and his wife Stephanie reside in Wayne.
