2006: Led the NSIC with 219 carries for 1,155 yards and 10 touchdowns. . . Also led the NSIC with an average of 105.0 yards per game (18th in nation). . . Also averaged 5.3 yards per carry. . . Averaged 121.1 yards per game in all-purpose yards (2nd in NSIC, 34th in nation) and 105.0 yards per game of total offense (7th in NSIC). . . His 1,155 rushing yards during the 2006 season made him the third player in WSC history to rush for over 1,000 yards in two seasons. . . Rushed for 3,391 yards for his career which puts him second on the all-time rushing chart. . . Had a season-high 188 yards on 29 carries with three touchdowns against Southwest Minnesota State on 10-21-06 earning him NCAA Division II Nebraska Offensive Player of the Week honors. . . Also won the award again on 11-6-06 after carrying the ball 30 times for 142 yards and scoring one touchdown against Missouri-Rolla on 11-4-06. . . Earned All-Conference First Team honors including was named the NSIC Offensive Player of the Year.
Selected to the Daktronics, Inc. Division II All-Northwest Region Football Second Team at running back. Selected to the Omaha World Herald All-Nebraska Division II Football Team.

2005: Earned First Team All-NSIC honors for the second straight season at running back. Led the Wildcats in rushing with 604 yards on 112 carries and 10 touchdowns. Averaged 5.4 yards per game in nine games. Missed early part of season with shoulder separation. Ranked fifth in NSIC games in rushing yards per game at 81.3. Finished tied for fourth in scoring with 10 touchdowns in seven league games. Named NSIC Player of the Week on 10-3-05 after rushing for season-high 139 yards on 17 carries with three touchdowns in 33-0 win over MSU Moorhead. Selected to the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team for second straight season.

2004: Named to the NSIC All-Conference First Team at running back. Became sixth rusher in school history to run for 1,000 yards in single season, finishing with 1,041 on 196 carries. Averaged 5.3 yards per carry and scored 7 touchdowns. Ranked third in NSIC games in rushing yards at 112.0 per game and was fourth in NSIC all-purpose yardage at 144.9 a game. Tied for second on the team in receiving with 27 catches for 270 yards and two scores. Led team in scoring with 54 points. Named to the 2004 NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.

2003: Led the team in all-purpose yardage with 1,097. Was first on the team in rushing and second in receiving. Finished with 516 yards rushing on 106 carries (4.9 avg) with four touchdowns. Added 27 pass receptions for 536 yards and four scores, averaging 19.9 yards per catch.

2002: Played in four games and started two before a season ending injury. Had 12 carries for 75 yards.

2001
: Sat out season as redshirt.

High School: attended Stanton High School where he was a three sport athlete. Lettered in football, wrestling, and track. Was an all-conference performer in football as a junior. Holds school records in the 100m, 200m and 4x100 in track. Personal: son of Dan and Kim Molacek...born October 22, 1982....is undecided on a major.

Wayne State has earned the #3 seed for the NCAA Div. II Central Regional Baseball Tournament hosted by Emporia State in Kansas. The 40-11 Wildcats meet #4 seed Central Missouri (41-15) in Thursday's first round with game times to be announced Monday afternoon.


Concordia-St. Paul topped #15 Wayne State 10-6 Sunday afternoon in the NSIC Baseball Tournament championship game. The 40-11 Wildcats await word from the NCAA on a at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament. Official pairings are to be released Sunday evening by the NCAA.


Nate Preston won three events to lead the WSC men to a third straight NSIC outdoor track and field championship Saturday in Wayne. The Wildcats scored 164 points to nip second place Mary (156.5) for the team title. Brett Suckstorf won two events (hammer throw and discus) for WSC.


The WSC women's track and field team finished in third place with 106 points at the NSIC Championships in Wayne. Katie Wilson won two events (hammer throw and discus) and took second in the shot put to lead the Wildcats.


The NSIC Office announced Saturday that the NSIC Baseball Tournament has been shortened to a single-elimination tournament with Wayne State and Concordia-St. Paul (the last two undefeated teams in the tournament) playing Sunday at 1 p.m. in Wayne and the winner earning the NSIC Tournament Title and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.


Nick Schumacher struck out a career-high 14 batters in a complete game win to lead #15 Wayne State to a 9-1 victory over Southwest Minnesota State at the NSIC Baseball Tournament in Wayne. The 40-10 Wildcats will play in the winner's bracket final Saturday at 10 a.m. against either Bemidji State or Concordia-St. Paul.


Seven WSC baseball players were named to the 2008 NSIC All-Conference Baseball Team announced Thursday afternoon. Nick Schumacher was named the NSIC Pitcher of the Year, Marc Manganaro earned the NSIC Co-Player of the Year while Nick Bidroski was selected the NSIC Co-Freshmen of the Year.
