Big, sidearm pitcher who continues to improve and will
help the 'Cats out of the bullpen this spring.
2007: Sake had stellar sophomore campaign
with WSC, recording 1-0 record in 16 appearances with
team-low 2.25 ERA...pitched complete-game three hit
shutout with eight strikeouts on 4-2-07 in 9-0 win over
Minnesota, Crookston in lone start of the season...opponents
hit just .236 against Sake. Named to the NSIC
Spring All-Academic Team.
2006: Appeared in four games as a
reliever, going 0-0 with a 7.20 ERA....pitched perfect
ninth inning with one strikeout to help shutout Neb.-Kearney
15-0 on 4-4-06.....worked five innings, allowing 10
hits, five runs (four earned) with six strikeouts and
no walks.
2005: Sat out season as a redshirt.
High School: Attended Valley HS and lettered
in baseball, basketball and football.
Personal: Son of Jim and Susan Sake. . . Hobbies
include hunting and fishing. . . Majoring in Physical
Education.
