Greg '92 and Stacey '93 (McDermott) Dohrman, Crofton,
Neb.:
"During my sophomore year, my roommate told me of a
boy I needed to meet. She kept telling me about this guy.
She had set me up before with another boy and he proved to
be a letdown. I agreed to meet with this boy anyway. I met
Greg and we liked each other from the start. About a year
after we started dating a funny incident happened. A boy walked
by that I recognized from my first day of classes as a freshman.
You see, he and I and another boy showed up on the wrong day
to general psychology. I being shy could hardly speak to the
two but I thought the tall one with dark hair had the most
beautiful eyes I had ever seen. Well we realized our mistake
and went on our way. Until that day, I had not realized that
Greg was that boy. Two years had passed since our first encounter.
Had it not been for the boy walking in the hall, we might
not have realized our first chance meeting. It's funny how
life gives you second chances when you don't get it right
the first time." They were married on January 15, 1994.
