"Met My Mate at WSC" Directory
Gregory '94 and Catherine '95 (Brutsche) Bergman, Newton,
Kan.:
We met in marching band! Greg played trumpet and Kate played
Piccolo. Greg picked her out because he took attendance every
day. Our first date was a "romantic getaway" with
the entire marching band on a trip to Emporia State Universality.
Since we were both music majors, we went on numerous music
trips together, including two tours of Europe with Dr. Cornell
Runestad's choirs. In 1994 Greg took a teaching job in Stanton,
while Kate finished her degree. We were married in 1995 in
Wayne, but we've been a couple since September, 1990.
