Fred '72 and Lila '71 (Kidney) Johnson, Marietta, Ga.:
"During my sophomore year at Wayne State, I met the
woman of my dreams while walking to gym class. I was immediately
drawn to this beauty, and quickly plotted my strategy to meet
and win this young woman. After some minor investigative work,
I discovered exactly when this young lady would be returning
from her classes in the gymnasium, and I made certain that
our paths crossed. In February 1970, I mustered enough courage
to ask her to attend the Valentine Day Dance, which was held
in the cafeteria. To my surprise she accepted, and we have
been together ever since." They were married August 21,
1971.
