New York Alumni Reunion and Yamaha Concert Published: 6-7-2012 8:55 am A reunion was held for WSC alumni and friends May 8 at Yamaha Artist Services in New York City. The event included a performance by concert pianist Paul Sheftel, who performed live in New York, and remotely in Wayne, though a Yamaha concert piano in both locations. Sheftel is on the faculty of The Julliard School. Dr. Linda Christensen, WSC music department chair, concluded the concert by performing in Ramsey Theatre in Wayne and transmitting to the piano in New York. The piano used in Wayne was purchased through an ongoing fundraising campaign aimed at replacing and refurbishing the music department’s pianos.
